Review Breakdown

  • Price vs Quality This place is excellent for budget travelers. You get a "boutique" experience here with themed decor, for the price of a basic motel. It is one of the best "bang for your buck" options in the Permas area.
  • Service Experience The staff are polite and efficient. Most of them speak good English. Check-in process is fast but they are quite strict with the cash deposit policy.
  • Location 4/5 for foodies and those with cars who want to explore the eastern side of JB; 3/5 if you are a foot-traveler wanting to be right next to the border crossing.
  • Area & Access The area is also very commercial and busy. You are basically in a shophouse row surrounded by banks, massage parlors, convenience stores (7-Eleven, KK Mart), and other dining options.
  • Overall Cleanliness Consistently good for a budget property. Housekeeping keeps it clean and they change the sheets and bed linen regularly which is important at this price range.
  • Breakfast Quality There is no on-site restaurant offering full meals but there is a small lounge area in the lobby. However, this is irrelevant given the massive amount of food right outside the door.
  • Comfort of Bed The rooms are cozy and tastefully decorated with jazz murals . They are small . The layout is functional , but '' Standard '' rooms leave the option of placing suitcases under the bed or in some tight corner .
  • Internet Speed Wi - Fi Movie throughout most parts of the building at someone streaming a movie on basic work without constant disconnections .
  • Interior Freshness 'Smooth & Chill.' A touch of class lingers at the lobby area through jazz music and somewhat dark moody lighting, which is often missing-from or never-even-at budget hotels.
  • Peace & Quiet The sleep was good. Just hope that your neighbors do not get loud or you are near the elevator- bring earplugs just in case.
  • Long Stay Suitability Best for solo and twin travelers on a budget, or if you’re hunting down all the best foods in Permas Jaya, or simply a business traveler looking for a clean place to crash.
  • Parking Availability There is public street parking right in front of the hotel. Safe, but you have to manage your own parking coupons or use the digital parking app (first timers will find it confusing).
